Enter to Win a Free Rosetta Stone Language Program!

Click here to learn how to when a Free Rosetta Stone Language Program!

Rosetta Stone is the fastest way to learn a language and has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while — and you can WIN the *all new* version 3 Rosetta Stone Homeschool LATIN program… FOR FREE! This is the first year you can get Latin in the brand new Version III update.

This is a $259 program (and believe me it’s worth every penny!)
This is a computer based curriculum and Rosetta Stone will also include a headset with microphone, and a supplementary “Audio Companion” CD so you can practice lessons in the car, on the go, or where-ever! Students participate in life-like conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone incorporates listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary and writing along with speaking and pronunciation lessons. For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program to allow parents to easily enroll up to ten students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, grade completed work (the program grades the work automatically as the students progress- I love that!), and you can view and print reports for transcripts. Homeschooling a lot of kids at your house? This program is designed to enroll and track up to ten students (five users on two computers) and will work for nearly all ages — from beginning readers up to college students.

To win this most excellent Latin program copy these paragraphs and post them in (or as) your next blog post, and/OR link to the contest from your facebook page and/OR email the information to your homeschool support group – Then go to the original page http://Jeneralities.com and leave a comment saying that you’ve posted about, or have linked to, the contest. Please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post. And good luck!

Coupon Organization and Money Saving Tips

Here are pictures of my coupon box (or my "Football" as my husband calls it. He says I go no where with out it, just like the President doesn't go anywhere with out his "Nuclear Football") and the tabs I use to keep them organized. As you can see I made my own tabs out of some card stock I had on hand (to save money) But my sister in law went and got the index cards with the tabs and this works better because they aren't as flimsy. I will be getting some of those soon, but even though these are bent, they still work fine. I will also list the categories for you below the pictures. I picked up this CD holder at CVS on a clearance for .59.

Categories for Coupons:
Store Tabs: These would be the stores in which you shop. I also put the store savings cards here.

Here are some hints to help you stay organized, while saving:

1. Buy multiple papers each week (you may need to do this for several weeks to accumulate enough coupons to see a significant drop in your grocery bill)
2. Only shop for the items that are discounted and that you have a coupon for and then be creative with your meals.
3. CVS and Walgreens are wonderful places to get free or highly discounted items by using their cards, extra care bucks, rebates and register rewards. If it sounds like I am speaking another language, go to moneysavingmom.com and read her instructions for saving BIG at these stores. She also has podcasts to listen to that are very helpful.
4. Under the "Category" button at MSM, you will find the stores that are in your area and see the sales and sometimes, even how to use the coupons.
5. Sign up to receive moneysavingmom.com daily emails. This will make sure you stay current on her post. She and others do the work for you and post the BEST deals to get the biggest bang for your buck. 6. While online coupons are great, DON'T print them until you need them and then print them on the ink saving setting.
7. Once you do this for a while..it is second nature.
8. If you are a stay-at-home-mom, view this as your job. It does take time, energy, organization. Just think of how you are saving your husbands hard earned money. If you work outside the home just think of how far you will make the money that you have worked so hard to make stretch.
9. If you have an Aldi in your area, utilize it for canned goods and wonderful prices on produce and other cheaper items that aren't available with coupons.
10. Please don't get discouraged...always ask questions if you get confused or don't know what to do. Sign up to receive my blog updates and I will post my deals that can help you. You can also post questions on the blog and I will do my best to answer them for you.

Kroger Finds 1/20/2009

I can't even list all of this and the deals that I got. But I will tell you that Kroger has their Mega Event going on, when you buy 10 mix and match select items you get $5 off. I combine these deals with coupons and get AWESOME deals!! This is about $175 worth of food for around $85. I didn't buy much meat because the week before Kroger had Butterball Fresh Ground Turkey for $1/lb and I bought all they had...TWICE, and I already have chicken in the freezer, too. I should not have to go back to the grocery for about two weeks, but if I come across a good deal will head over to take advantage of the sale.
